In the journal Low Temperature Physics we published a paper “Mechanically driven spin-orbit-active weak links” in the field of nanoelectromechanical systems physics. The paper is produced within the collaboration Advanced Study Group “Spin-active electric weak links” realized among 5 countries (Republic of Korea, Sweden, Israel, Ukraine and Croatia) with the headquaters at the Institute for Basic Science, Daejeon, Korea with whom we also signed a formal agreement on scientific collaboration. This paper is an introduction in the research activity in the field of NEMS planed in the 3rd year of the project realization.
Petra Grozić attended the winter school “4th Edition of the European Graphene Forum – EGF 2018,” 23. – 25. October 2018. in Venice, Italy, where she gained competences in the field of physics of graphene which is planed to be a corner-stone of her future PhD thesis.
Danko Radić presented a talk titled: “The Spin-shuttle NEMS” at 11th Croatian Physical Society Science Meeting, held in Beli Manastir, Croatia 3.-5. October 2018. These are the preliminary results and the introductionary step within the field of nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS) planed in the 3rd year of project realization. The work is accomplished within the framework of collaboration Advanced Study Group “Spin-active electric weak links” realized among 5 countries (Republic of Korea, Sweden, Israel, Ukraine and Croatia) with the headquaters at the Institute for Basic Science, Daejeon, Korea with whom we also signed a formal agreement on scientific collaboration.
Chip holders have arrived at Low Temperature and Strong Magnetic Field Laboratory. They will be used with wire bonder to make electrical contacts for the samples.
